Saturday 2nd April - Crymych 10.00am - 12.00 pm Shoot

12.30pm - 1.30 pm Run

2.00pm - 3.00 pm Swim

Sunday 3rd April - Pibwrlwyd 10.00am All Riding Ability followed by Show Jumping in height order

After all Tetrathlon competitors have completed their Show Jumping rounds at one height there will be an opportunity to do CLEAR ROUND over the course before it is raised for the next class. This can be used to gain confidence by jumping the same course again / as a warm up round for the next class or as a chance to progress to the next height. After the Open the course will be raised to 1.05 / 1.10 for clear round.

Must be aged 8 or over on the day of the competition to be able to shoot.

On Sunday Following each height in the Show Jumping there will be the opportunity to do Clear Round, this is to encourage competitors and give them the opportunity to try moving up a height or have a school round at a lower height before their competition class etc

Rosettes to 6th place in all classes. Rosettes to Best Shoot, Swim, Run within each age group and all 1400 Ride. Rosettes to all tadpole competitors

Entry Fee Tetrathlon £18 per competitor - pre entry only

Clear Round £2 or £3 with a rosette - entry on day

The riding ability test

All parts of the test will be judged, maximum 1400 points. You cannot be eliminated you do what you are happy with and miss out what you don’t like. The more you do and well, the more points you will get. An adult will need to be in the arena to help you, how much help they give you will be reflected in the scoring and the judges decision is final.

The test will be numbered like the show jumping course and be basic riding, walk, trot and canter, getting on and off, bending poles, trotting poles, there may be a small jump.

Show Jumping - If the jumps are too big in your class you may drop down a class, there will be a penalty of 400 pts.

The competition will be run in accordance with the Pony Club Rules for Tetrathlon 2016

Riding

·  A Skull Cap to comply with Pony Club Rules must be worn at all times when mounted.

·  The Show Jumping phase will consist of two rounds of SJ.Competitors may elect to jump a lower height but will incur a 400 point penalty.

·  Tadpoles may be led in the SJ, Tadpoles and Minis may be led in Riding ability class at no extra penalties.

Shooting

·  All competitors are required to have a minimum of 3 practice shooting sessions before their first competition. Loaders should be 18 yrs or over and competent

·  In the shooting range, guns must be kept in their cases until the Firing Point Steward gives the order to “unbox” them at the start of a Detail, and must be boxed again before competitors leave the firing point. At all other times air pistols must be stored in their boxes and locked in a secure place (i.e. in a vehicle out of sight).

·  No person aged under 18 may be responsible for, or carry a gun.

·  NO GUNS TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME

Objections

·  Pease note that any objections to the scoring must be within 10 mins of the final scores being put on the board. After that time it will be too late to make an objection.

The decision of the Judges will be final throughout the competition

·  Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

·  The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
