IN ORDER FOR RIDERS TO RECEIVE YEAR END AWARDS SOMEONE MUST BE PRESENT TO PICK UP AT BANQUET OR SET UP A TIME TO PICK UP AFTER THE BANQUET, PLEASE DO NOT PICK UP RIBBONS FOR SOMEONE UNLESS YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO DO SO!
Horse Show Rules/Information
(PLEASE TAKE NOTE: NEW 2018 INFORMATION IS IN BOLD.)
- Show attire is NOT mandatory but very encouraged.
- Mane Braiding is NOT mandatory.
- All tack must follow the USEF Rule book. No illegal bits or equipment.
- Management has the right to cancel or combine classes.
- Riders are expected to be prompt to the ring. A one minute call will be placed on open gates!
- Champion and Res. Champion are only awarded to those that enter and ride in the entire division.
- High Point Rider will be awarded at each show to the rider with the most points earned in both Hunter/Eq. classes for the whole show.
- Year-end high point riders 1st-6th will be awarded in each division at our year-end awards banquet. Date and location to be announced.
- Ribbons will be awarded 1st – 6th for each class at each show.
- No lead change will be required. You will not be marked down for doing a simple lead change vs. doing a flying lead change but you should show a change of lead!
- Riders may enter into more than one Eq. Division but ONLY ONE MEDAL per rider!
- Classics are a 2-part class, first score will be given for your second hunter course in said division. (MUST BE ENTERED IN THE ENTER HUNTER DIVISION)
- Derby will be held on Saturday at 3pm. There will be an open derby warm-up time from 12:30-2:00. Cost for warm-up is $15.00. (YOU MUST ENTER AND RIDE IN AT LEAST ONE OTHER DIVISION IN SAID SHOW TO BE ABLE TO RIDE IN HUNTER DERBY!)
- ALL PLACING DECISIONS ARE DECIDED BY THE JUDGE, WE DO OUR BEST TO GET QUALIFIED PEOPLE TO JUDGE OUR SCHOOL SHOW! JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL!
- For indoor shows: Limited Stall will be available. PLEASE get your entries in early!
- For indoor shows: If entries warrant, the second hunter O/F round in each division and/or warm-up will be forfeited. This will be done in order to make sure we finish the day at a decent hour.
- Trailering In will be allowed starting Friday at Noon.
- No Dogs without a leash.
- TRAINERS – Bring 6 or more horses and earn a free stall, Must mark entry that will receive the free stall. Free stall will not be split between riders! (ONE STALL PER BARN)
- NO SMOKING in the barn facility.
- Food will be available Sunday during show.
- A $5 fee per class will be charged for added at the gate. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR ENTRIES FILLED OUT CORRECTLY!
- PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE TO EACH OTHER! REMEMBER THESE SHOWS ARE FOR THE STUDENTS TO HAVE A FUN AND POSITIVE EXPERIENCE!
$250 Hunter Derby
Summer Schooling Series will be hosting a Hunter Derby on the Saturday of each summer/outdoor show. The Derby will consist of two rounds. First round is the derby round and the second round is the handy round. Only the top 12 riders from the 1st round will be called back to do the handy round. Points from each round will be added together to determine winner. This is a non-pro derby. Please no professionals. Professionals may ride in warm-up. Derby will not start before 3:00pm or before the conclusion of ring two and will have an order of go and it is $35.00 to ride in the Hunter Derby.
Derby Warm-Up:
Will be offered on Saturday at 12:30 – 2:00pm. This will be an open schooling (no ribbons awarded) with a limit of horses in arena at once. You will have 15 minutes to school your horse over the jumps before asked to exit the arena. Professionals are welcome to ride in the warm-up. It is $15.00 to ride the warm-up.
Prize Money will be rewarded as followed:
1st – 30%, 2nd – 22%, 3rd – 15%, 4th – 10%, 5th – 7%, 6th – 6%, 7th – 5%, 8th – 5%
NOTE: Management has the right to cancel and/or change prize money awarded if there is not enough riders to complete class.

Classic Classes
This year Tower Hill will be adding in various Classic Classes throughout the day. The Classics will be a two-part class. Your first round will be your hunter round for that said division and the second will be your Classic Class round. For each round, the rider will receive a score. The rider with the most accumulative points will be the winner.
