The Short-term Study Visa route is suitable for International students studying at the University of Brighton on courses for a duration of less than 6 months. Visa nationals are required to apply for the visa before travelling to the UK. Non-visa nationals can either apply from the embassy in the country where they are living OR they can apply on entry at the airport for a Short-term StudyVisa. For a list of visa nationals:
If you are studying an English Language course of up to 11 months you can apply for an extended Short-term Study Visa.Youwill have to apply for entry clearance before travelling to the UK regardless of whether you are a visa national or a non-visa national.
Please note that you must intend to leave the UK at the end of your course (even if this is earlier than the 6 months or 11 months leave you are granted) and you must have enough funds for maintenance in the UK and your return journey home.For more informationsee the following link:

Please be aware that youcannot apply for a Short-term Study Visa from within the UK. If you obtain a Short-term Study Visa you cannot extend your stay in the UK at all and cannot apply to remain in the UK under Tier 4. You will not be able to enrol at the University of Brighton unless you havea valid Short-term Study Visa; Standard Visitor Visas will not be accepted.
