SHORT NORTH ROTARY ANNOUNCES MUSIC IN THE ROUND X LINEUP

‘Not Your Grandfather’s Rotary’ Hosts Its 10thSinger-Songwriter Concert Fundraiser March 7

Columbus, Ohio: Short North Rotary Club is pleased to announce the lineup for the 10th annual Music In The Round, which will take place at Via Vecchia Winery on Saturday, March 7, and will star Happy Chichester, Josh Krajcik, Jared Mahone, and Counterfeit Madison.

Planners broke with tradition by inviting Chichester, who played the second event in 2007, to return in celebration of the event’s tenth year. He will be joined in the lineup by Josh Krajcik of X Factor USA fame; Jared Mahone, one of the most-booked performers in the national college market; and Counterfeit Madison, who was featured in Columbus Alive’s 2014 Bands to Watch and (614) Magazine’s Interview Issue. In addition to the event’s unique concert format, guests will also enjoy an eclectic silent auction and a dinner option, both of which are new this year. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.

Music in the Round will once again benefit the Rafiki AIDS Orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya; and Short North Rotary’s 501(c)3 foundation, which funds some of the club’s service projects and donations. New to the beneficiaries list is the Columbus-based Troubadour Performing Art Center.

About Music in the Round: Music in the Round is a unique concert formatin which the artists taking turns playing their own original songs using the instruments on which those songs were written. It began in Nashville’s Bluebird Café, having grown organically out of the traditional jam session. Audiences get to hear the artists discuss their songwriting, particularly the stories surrounding the song’s creation. This fundraiser sells out annually and attracts high profile sponsors including entrepreneurs, business owners, and corporate executives.
