Shipper’s Declaration Dangerous Goods

Beginning Jan. 10, 2011, FedEx Express will require all Shipper’s Declarations originating in the U.S., to be prepared using the following methods:

a)  FedEx approved vendor software application;

b)  Preapproved shipper propriety software (Note: Thompson Center purchased propriety software, call 612-626-1604); or

c)  FedEx Express Automated Shipping Solutions that have dangerous goods error checks.

A list of approved DG Shipping application vendors can be reviewed at www.fedex.com/us;dangerous goods (keyword). Shipper’s declaration “templates” from FedEx Express will no longer be accepted.

This change only affects shipments of Category A Infectious substances or Dangerous Goods Shipments which require a Shipper’s Declaration.
