Dear 6 White Parents,
We are excited to begin our work with the iPad 1:1 pilot in December! Parents of students on 6 White will play an important role in our work with the iPads for the remainder of the school year. To continue our home-school partnership, we will begin the 1:1 pilot with a parent workshop for all parents of 6 White students. The goals of the parent workshop will be to:
1) Distribute the iPads to each parent/family.
2) Provide an overview of the philosophy and goals of the iPad 1:1 pilot.
3) Provide a basic training for parents on the functions of the iPad and share
samples of student work completed with an iPad.
4) Discuss frequently asked questions regarding care of the iPads as well as
expectations andacceptable use of iPads in school and at home.
We would like all parents to attend one workshop. If the times listed below do not work for you, we will be happy to schedule a meeting with you so that your child’s iPad can be distributed and we can discuss the expectations and acceptable use of the iPads.
Workshops are being offered on:
Monday, November 28th
3:15 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday, November 29th
8:15 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 30th
8:15 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Parking for Workshops
The best place for parents to park is in the front of the building, but please be aware that there is heavy bus activity just before the workshops. You will not be able to access the roads to the front of the building if you arrive too early before the workshop times begin.
You do not need to RSVP to attend the workshops. If you cannot attend one of the listed workshops, please contact any of the Curriculum Coordinators below.
