· SCS Christmas Program: The SCS Christmas program will be held at Living Water Community Church in Sheldon on Tuesday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m. Students in preschool through 8th grade will be performing a variety of Christmas songs. Please join us for an evening of celebration.
· Need a great stocking stuffer? For a limited time, some businesses are offering low denomination gift cards. Offering $5 cards: Barnes and Noble, Panera Bread, and Starbucks. Offering $10 cards: Amazon.com, Applebee's, Olive Garden, The Home Depot, Outback, and Target.
Unity
· Unity Christian High School’s annual Christmas concert will be presented on Thursday, December 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Unity Christian Knight Center. All the school’s music ensembles will participate. A free will offering will be received for the Music Department. Come and celebrate the birth of the King!
· Unity's FFA chapter will sponsor a soup supper on Thursday, December 14, serving from 4:30-6:30 p.m. (before the Christmas concert) in the Unity cafeteria. Free-will donation will be taken for FFA.
Western
· The Western Music Department will present a Christmas Concert on Monday, December 11 at the BJ Haan Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. The concert will include the choirs, bands, and orchestra. We will have a bake sale at the concert to help support the music department.

Belgian Waffle Supper: The Sheldon Recreational Trails Committee is sponsoring a Belgian waffle supper on Monday, December 11 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Sheldon Community Servcices Center. Cost of advance tickets for the supper served by Dad’s Belgian Waffles is $7.00 for youth and adults. Tickets are available at the four Sheldon banks or from a Trail Committee member. Cost at the door will be $8.00. Children 5 and under are free. Proceeds will go towards the Sheldon trail.

I serve as the President of Colleges Against Cancer, which organizes the Relay for Life and raises money for the American Cancer Society. My team is attempting to raise $20,000 for cancer research, support, and treatments. If you would like to join me in this effort, I would love to supply you with luminary bags to honor someone fighting cancer or in memory of someone who has passed away from the disease. Love INC is preparing for the start of their winter session of Loving Help classes inboth Sheldon and in Primghar.Classes are available for anyone living in O'Brien County.The winter session will begin on January 4, 2018 and run through March 15, 2018. Classes are free andwill be held Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30.Free childcare is provided. The classes being offered in Sheldon includeSuccessful Living, Cooking (limited availability), Healthy Relationships (for women), and Bible Study.
