Dear XXX
You are aware of the SHAREHD project which is establishing a collaborative to scale up shared haemodialysis care across the UK.
The results of this project will have a significant impact on patients, healthcare professionals and inevitably, the supplier industry. The project already has a patient engagement Board, and Strong links with the healthcare community. Industry is the only stakeholder not yet strongly represented in the project, and we feel that it is important to rectify this situation. We feel that we are now at an appropriate point to build similar links with industry stakeholders.
We have held an initial meeting on 27 January with four businesses from the industry to see if they felt it would be valuable for some form of formal engagement for the supplier businesses (see slides/notes of the meeting attached). The meeting agreed that and Industry Forum would be of mutual benefit to both the companies and users of their products and services; and that the proposed approach would be robust, safe and produce value to all parties involved. All of the industry members at the meeting agreed to support the activity of this group to a level of £2,000 each to cover a period of 12 months activity (see letter attached).
We would therefore like to invite you to join our SHAREHD Industry Forum and participate in all its future activities as appropriate to your business and expertise.
If you want to know any more details, please feel free to call Oliver Wells – Commercial Director at devices for Dignity – who is coordinating this activity on our behalf. If you have any questions about the SHAREHD project or this Industry Engagement activity which Oliver Wells cannot address, please feel free to call Sonia Lee or me.
We look forward very much to your joining our activity, and meeting again soon.
