Process Guidance:
Prior to SEMAP notification completion, the CSE Risk Assessment tool should be completed by the lead professional to assess risk and identify risk level. This information informs the SEMAP notification and should be recorded on Framework I or other appropriate recording system and discussed with Line Manager.
This CSE notification referral is sent to Graham Ososki, Head of Specialist Services, , d/or confidential email for outside agencies .
When sending in a notification, all referrers are expected to attend the next SEMAP meeting to present and discuss the case with the panel. SEMAP meetings take place on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
The notification will then be tracked by the SEMAP panel until CSE risk has lowered sufficiently or ceased. Referrers will subsequently be expected to provide regular case review updates to the panel.
Professionals recording on FWi should complete the CSE risk assessment tool and use it to complete the ‘RAG Rating and Managers decision’ section on FWi. Line Management then has to agree and authorise this section.
If the CSE risk is low, it is RAG rated as such on Framework I and monitored with Line Manager.
If it is medium or high, Line Manager requests notification sent to SEMAP.
