Line Manager: Chief Executive – Lucy Faithfull Foundation
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced manager to work as a member of a small executive team providing strong leadership for the Foundation. Bringing passion and commitment to help us develop and plan the future strategic direction of the Foundation. Providing regular operational updates to Trustees.
You will be instrumental in maintaining the quality of the operational delivery of our client services. This will involve working closely with the Finance Director to ensure services are delivered within budget as well as project leads and managers to meet key performance indicators. Directing and supporting service delivery of the helpline, group programmes, interventions and assessments.
The role will involve contributing to applications for charitable funding and providing outcomes for progress reports. Overseeing the timely project management of government initiatives and ensuring the desired outcomes are delivered. This may include developing and sustaining key strategic partnerships and networks.
Operating within and where possible ensuring all staff are aware and compliant with the policies and procedures of the Foundation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic
- Setting the clinical strategic direction of LFF with the senior management team
- Contribute to the Foundation’s objectives to influence policy nationally and internationally
- Sustain and (where required) create strategic partnerships and networks to support the work of LFF and Stop it Now! UK and Ireland
- Collect and measure outcomes to evidence the impact of our services and provide direction for new and innovative approaches to the prevention of child sexual abuse
- Provide regular operational updates to the Board of Trustees.
- Agree aims and objectives for the forthcoming year for all projects and services
- Work with Finance Director to set budgeted costs for the staff resource and any other costs required
- With Finance Director to agree income targets for staff
- Identify risk of under or over achieving budget
- Work with Finance Director to monitor projects and services to ensure that the budget is delivered and opportunities and risks are managed in consultation with CEO and Trustees.
- To oversee and manage aspects of the day-to-day running of LFF offices, team, projects and services
- To maintain and develop the quality of service delivery throughout LFF
- Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services to a high standard
- Responsibility for ensuring LFF is outcome focused and goals are achieved in expanding its reach
- Contribute to LFF’s compliance with health and safety and data protection policies and procedures relating to services and activities.
- To provide regular supervision to clinical managers
- To regularly undertake appraisal and review progress to agreed goals
- Liaise with HR to make sure robust policies and procedures are embedded to ensure staff wellbeing and statutory obligations are fairly and appropriately applied particularly in respect of diversity, recruitment, absence management and performance.
- To have oversight of the evaluation of LFF projects and services
- To ensure that personal outcomes and impact are central to the evaluation of interventions.
- Have oversight for the quality assurance of all reports to agencies and to funders
- Provide written reports back to funders on expenditure and performance of projects as required
- Ensure that all interim and final reports are duly provided to funders within agreed timescales and according to agreed conditions.
- Represent at conferences, seminars and to other events on the work of LFF and Stop it Now!
- Present to stakeholders on outcomes and impact of our services and associated matters
- As a spokesperson for LFF and Stop it Now! with the assistance of the Media Manager, make statements on relevant matters as required.

Person Specification
Essential / Desirable
Education, qualification and registration / Ordinary or Honours degree in either:-
- Social Work
- Probation
- Psychology
or other relevant qualification
Clear DBS checks
Advanced understanding of child sexual abuse/sex offending
Good understanding of child protection
Firm understanding of relevant legislation and criminal justice processes / Post Graduate qualification
Project management or Business management qualifications
Current registration with relevant professional body
Advanced understanding of the public health prevention models
CPD in relevant associated areas of practice, research and training
Understanding of Local Authority, children services and the family court
Experience / Work with sex offenders (assessment or direct intervention/treatment programmes)
Understand the research and theory relating to the assessment and treatment of sex offenders both contact and internet

Previous budget responsibility / Knowledge and experience of working with the families and partners of offenders
Application of psychoeducational models in professional practice
