SUMMARY
The Target Store on 900 Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis Minnesota was inspected by TomBranham of Elevator Consulting Services, Inc. on July 14 and 16th, 2015. My QEI number is 1339 and am certified by NAESA. NAESA is the National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities. We have identified corrective items that in our opinion need to be addressed by the Elevator Contractor. They are free to offer an explanation or dispute any individual item within the report but we can offer a reasonable reason for each and every negative evaluation. They are evaluated on and for the ASME 17.2 Code for Inspectors Manual and industry standards for acceptable installation and maintenance procedures.

RECOMMENDED IMPROVEMENTS
Vermaports
1. Put sleep mode on the units. For hours used, cart activity is low, could be on sleep mode except during store hours. Darrott has a software change for this.
Passenger Elevator 18
- Need to add AC to the machine room. Room temperature exceeds code, oil is too hot by midafternoon.
Freights 15, 16, 17
- Upgrade the LMH controls with new MCE.
- Upgrade the door controllers ASAP due to relay replacement problem.
Ramp Elevator
- Upgrade the fast speed doors and hoistway car door gibs to SEES “Enforcer Gibs”.
- Upgrade the spirators to a smart tack unit to eliminate air pressure problems.
