Deuteronomy 4:11-12

11You came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire to theveryheart of the heavens: darkness, cloud and thick gloom. 12Then theLordspoke to you from the midst of the fire; you heard the sound of words, but you saw no form—only a voice.

Psalm 17:15

As for me, I shallbehold Your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied with Yourlikeness when I awake.

Deuteronomy 5:8-10

8‘You shall not make for yourself an idol, orany likenessofwhat is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. 9You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, theLordyour God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the third and the fourthgenerationsof those who hate Me, 10butshowing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

Deuteronomy 17:2-7

2“If there is found in your midst, in any of your towns, which theLordyour God is giving you, a man or a woman who does what is evil in the sight of the Lordyour God, by transgressing His covenant, 3and has gone andserved other gods and worshiped them,or the sun or the moon or any of the heavenly host, which I have not commanded, 4and if it is told you and you have heard of it, then you shall inquire thoroughly. Behold, if it is true and the thing certain that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, 5then you shall bring out that man or that woman who has done this evil deed to your gates, that is, the man or the woman, andyou shall stone them to death. 6On the evidence of two witnesses or three witnesses, he who is to die shall be put to death; he shall not be put to death on the evidence of one witness. 7The hand of the witnesses shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.

Deuteronomy 10:14

Behold,to theLordyour God belong heaven and the highest heavens, the earth and all that is in it.

Romans 1:21-23

21For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they becamefutile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23andexchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

Isaiah 40:18-26

18To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare with Him? 19As forthe idol, a craftsman casts it, a goldsmithplates it with gold, and a silversmithfashionschains of silver. 20He who is too impoverished forsuchan offering selects atree that does not rot; He seeks out for himself a skillful craftsman to prepare an idol thatwill not totter. 21Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you not understoodfrom the foundations of the earth? 22It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are likegrasshoppers, whostretches out the heavens like acurtain and spreads them out like atent to dwell in. 23Heit iswho reducesrulers to nothing, whomakes the judges of the earth meaningless. 24Scarcely have they been planted, scarcely have they been sown, scarcely has their stock taken root in the earth, but He merely blows on them, and they wither, and thestorm carries them away like stubble. 25“To whom then will you liken Me that I would behisequal?” says the Holy One. 26Lift up your eyes on high and seewho has created thesestars, theOne who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of thegreatness of His might and the strength ofHispower, not oneof themis missing.

Habakkuk 2:18

“Whatprofit is the idol when its maker has carved it, or an image, ateacher of falsehood? Foritsmakertrusts in hisownhandiwork when he fashions speechless idols.

6Then theLordpassed by in front of him and proclaimed, “TheLord, theLord God,compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;7whokeeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet Hewill by no means leavethe guiltyunpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”8Moses made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship.
