Dear Basketball Players and Parents:
TEAM RULES:
1.) A players education is # 1 priority. If a player is not getting her work in on time or doing work unsatisfactory to his teacher, she may be withheld from games and practices. Failing grades in 2 subjects will result in a player being ineligible for 1 week, which runs from Monday to Monday until the grades are brought up to passing.
2.) Practices and games are MANDATORY, unless I receive a NOTE or a phone call from parents informing me otherwise, I expect you there. Three (3) unexcused practices will result in Explusion from the team.
3.) A calendar of practices will be handed out a the beginning of each month. Also, you will receive a basketball game schedule.
4.) If a basketball player is ill or would go home from school on a game day he will NOT be allowed to participate in the game.
5.) NO smoking, drinking, or use of illegal substances. Automatic Expulsion.
6.) Everyone MUST show sportsmanship, respect and courtesy at all games, practices and towards Everyone.
7.) 3 detentions during the season at anytime will result in automatic expulsion from the team.
8.) Any disciplinary problems in school or during basketball activities may result in missed games and practices or extra running in practice. Tampering with anyones things or destruction of any locker room will result in explusion from the team.
9.) Players will be expected to conduct themselves like young ladies at all times. They are representing me, themselves, and SerenaGrade School on and off the court.
10.) Parents will have to sign a sheet if your child is not riding the bus home after ALL AWAY games. This helps me keep track of the kids so that we do not leave anyone behind. This must be signed by an adult.
11.) Any other problems that come up will be discussed by Coach Haas and the player.
12.) Players will be required to dress up for all games. This means NO Blue Jeans, NO Sweatpants, No Hats.
EXPECTATIONS:
1.) Players have to get their work done in the classroom first and then on the basketball court second.
2.) We expect 100% effort at all times during games and practices. Effort will be # 1 factor in which playing time will be determined.
3.) Win or lose, we will conduct ourselves like good sports.
4.) Have fun, do your best, and learn.
There is a $20.00 sports fee charge for each player, and each player will have to pass a physical in order to practice. Each player must have on file at school an insurance release or school insurance in order to begin practice. If these are not turned in before the first practice you will not be able to practice.
I am looking forward to working with the kids and having a fun season.
Thanks for your cooperation,
Coach

Dear Parents,
Please read the rules that have been set and sign the enclosed form. This form must be turned in at the first practice.
I will be needing volunteers to help at home basketball games, with running the scoreboard and keeping the scorebook.
Every parent of the basketball players will be required to work in the concession stand for one (1) home game.
If you can help out, please check below.
If you have any questions please feel free to call. With your help and cooperation, this season will be a success.
Coach Haas
I have read and understand all of the rules to be a member of the Serena Basketball program. If I fail to follow the rules, I may be punished or removed from the team. This sheet must be signed and turned in by the first practice.
