Description of types of rows available
Type of Row / Open to / Purpose / Notes
Racing Rows / All Ladies and Men /
  • To focus upon preparing for races and improving race techniques
/ Selected Race Crews for upcoming regattas will be given priority
Where possible crews will be coxed by racing coxes
To be considered for a racing crew you must regularly attend one of the racing slots
Club Rows / All welcome /
  • An Aerobic row = hard row to build fitness and stamina (expect at least 20 minutes non stop fast row) OR
  • A Technical row - focus upon building technique and learning about the estuary
/ The slot organiser will allocate crews into Aerobic or Technical rows.
The Aerobic rows require a minimum level of fitness and technique.

Race Crews / Race crews /
  • To train crews for upcoming regattas

  • These slots will be allocated by the Men’s and Ladies captains

Juniors / Year 7 to 11 school age /
  • To teach and develop young people

Junior Racing / Invite only /
  • To prepare junior teams for racing

  • Nikki to identify and invite juniors to attend.
  • Will align with Men’s and Ladies Captains to mix crews with main racing section where appropriate

Super Vets / Men Super Vets /
  • A general row that will adjust depending upon the crew

Gail’s Row / Lady Vets /
  • A general row that will adjust depending upon the crew

Note: The Saturday organisers will co-ordinate which boats go out and they will be handed over after each session as per schedule.
