SENIOR SOCIAL MIXED NETBALL 2017

Dates:

All games are played at Jardine Park, commencing on Monday 2nd October.

Monday Night: All games are played at Jardine Park,

Games will be played each Monday evening on the following dates:

2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th October

6th, 13th & 20th November

Registration

Members have the option of 2 types of membership.

Social Grade - $35

Social registration fees do not include player insurance.

Full Membership - $100

Full membership includes Netball Queensland membership and player insurance

NOTE: If you are currently registered with Rockhampton Netball Association as a player, you do not need to pay any registration fees.

Game Fees

Social Grade - $80 per game

·  Notified Forfeit Fine (must be advised by 1pm on the day of play): $120.

·  Un-notified Forfeit Fine: $160.

Umpires

Each Team MUST provide an umpire – The team registration sheet will not be accepted if you are unable to provide an umpire. Failure to umpire may result in your team being excluded from the drawn the following week.

Minimum accreditation is a current level 1 certificate. Umpires receive $15 per game remuneration. Level 1 accreditation can now be done online –http://netball.com.au/get-involved/umpiring/accreditation/level-1-umpires-course/

Score Sheet
Game Fees must be paid for prior to the collection of the board and filled in correctly prior to the beginning of the game.

Uniforms

If a club uniform is not being worn, all players are to wear the same coloured shirt and shorts (no external pockets are permitted on the shorts).

Bibs

Positional Bibs are to be worn by all players on court.

Bib hire is available from the RNA Office at $5.50 per set per game.

Players

Suitable sports footwear must be worn by all players. Spiked shoes are not allowed.

No item of jewellery, except a wedding band and/or medical alert bracelet, shall be worn. If either or both are worn, each shall be taped.

No adornment that may endanger player safety shall be worn.

Fingernails shall be short and smooth. Taping of nails is not permitted.

Ball

Each team is required to provide their own match ball.

The ball shall be a Netball and measure between 690mm – 710mm (27 – 28 inches) in circumference and weigh between 400 – 450 grams. (Size 5)

Mixed Netball Rules

1.  Maximum of 7 Players per side on court at one time during the Match

2.  4 x 12 minute quarters per game

3.  There shall be a maximum of three (3) and a minimum of two (2) males on court per team at any one time.

4.  The male players must play in the following positions:

·  one (1) Goal Shooter (GS) or Goal Attack (GA)

·  one (1) Centre court player either Wing Attack (WA) Centre (C) or Wing Defence (WD)

·  one (1) Defence player - either Goal Keeper (GK) or Goal Defence (GD)

3.  Substitutions – as per normal rules as long as rule number 1 is abided by.

Social Netball

You have nominated in the Social Division of Mixed Netball and therefore the emphasis is on having fun.

Umpire Abuse will not be tolerated, in the first instance a player will be given a warning, further offences will result in the player being sent off the court for the remainder of the game. Repeated offences by the same player will result in that player being de-registered from the Rockhampton Netball Association Mixed Netball Competition.
