Job Description / IPE Global invites applications from the qualified candidates in the Information Technology Unit for Social Sector in Kolkata, India.
Specifically focus on:
  • Provide leadership, creativity, and strategic vision to enable the organization (IPE and government) to effectively plan, select, implement and utilize information and communications technology for education
  • Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments.
  • Provide strategic input on proposal development and broader IPE strategy toward distinguishing IPE as an ICT leader in the field of education development.
  • Provide Education related MIS/ smart class/ ICT systems (for learning and skill development) technical assistance in systems requirements, analysis, design, specifications, supervision of development, piloting/testing, implementation and evaluation
  • Provide expertise in data warehouse design and integration of Education, students, teachers’ data sets.
  • Oversee the selection and procurement of hardware and software in consultation with the IPE/client, in coordination with the iTec Head/ Team Leader.
  • Travel to the field to provide management oversight, capacity building and training, and technical assistance is expected regularly.
  • Advise Client for Introduction of e- governance systems / Govt. IT policies in the organization.
  • Other IT related work as assigned by the Team Leader

Qualification & Experience /
  • Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science Engineering (B-Tech/MCA/BE) with Masters’ degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science Engineering /Management/e-Governance or any other relevant educational qualification.
  • 15+ years of experience in IT Consultancy, IT Project Monitoring or systems design and development from identification of business requirements and analysis through day-to-day management.
  • Good working experience in Government environment with good relationships with senior Government officials.
  • Must have 10+ years of experience and understanding of Education information systems design, development, roll-out, and/or use (e.g. Smart Classes, Education MIS, Project management/monitoring systems for State education department / MHRD).
  • Should have knowledge of Government schemes related to Education at state and national level in India and International.
  • Should have knowledge of Government IT policies and e- governance systems Analytical and detailed approach to ICT.
  • Knowledge of latest technology trends in BI, MIS, ERP, Relational and NoSQL databases, Bigdata Analytics, Mobile solutions (Android, iOS, Windows, Blackberry), High performance servers like Hyena etc. is preferable
  • Practical knowledge and experience of hardware & network management is preferable
  • PMP/Prince2 or any other relevant certification is preferable
