Seminar Description:
A famous writer, J.W. Goethe, said, “Everything is hard before it is easy.” This quote certainly rings true in regards to navigating health insurance and Medicare — aconstantly changing, often confusing landscape. Many find it challenging to understand what’s available and how to meet their needs. We’re here to make it less hard.
Throughout our lives, those that we work for (i.e. our employers) define the health insurance and options that are available, but now you have the privilege of choice – and there are many. Health insurance is a philosophical consideration as much as it’s a financial one. Knowing the rules and options prior to being eligible for Medicare (65+ years of age), will help you make informed decisions to best meet your individual needs.
Guide your clients as they plan and/or age into Medicare Health Insurance. Understand the financial implications, coverage options and common mistakes that people make costing them money each year. Ensure that your clients follow the Medicare enrollment periods and avoid financial penalties that result in a lifetime of retribution.
Create an awareness of health care fraud in an effort to protect individuals from being vulnerable to thieves. Whether on the phone or internet, sophisticated tactics are at play trying to steal your personal information and money. Unsavory individuals continue to come up with innovative ways to catch seniors off guard and take advantage of their vulnerability as we age.
Age Well’s State Health Insurance Counselorsare an unbiased source offering free and confidential counseling for Medicare beneficiaries. We can provide you with available options and guidance as well as resources so that you can manage your health, plan for your future, and continue aging confidently.
Parking: During NEFCU’s business hours, there is limited parking. We would appreciate if you are able to carpool with a colleague and/or park in the designated spaces located away from the credit union’s main entrance. Please leave the first 3 rows for credit union customers
