Step 1: Semester Survey

Log on to Google Account (Open Chrome and select “sign in”. Next on the school’s web page, find Teacher Pages, Eckelman and select the End of Semester (Topic on left page). Log on to Google and then click the long url on this page.

Step 2: Did you accomplish your MOS goal?Tests will start when there is 60 minutes left of class. Communicate! Be sure to plan 60 minutes for the MOS exam. (60 minutes allow time to set-up computer and read directions, exam is 50 minute timed test)

Step 3: Log on to and see your digital transcript. Email this link to yourself along with your login and password. This would be how you will take all future MOS exams. Place in a safe spot (email yourself, post-it note, take a picture of your post-it note) your UserName and Password and the email associated with the account.

Step 4: Remember for “Best Works” Senior Year (Microsoft Office Specialist Industry Certification)! Congrats!

Step 5: Puget Sound Dual Credit (Community College Credit). Take high school transcript to community college Registrar’s Office: Renton Tech, Green River, and Highline Community College. *Must have B or higher for transcript credit.

All other colleges (2 year and 4 year), workplace and/or military take your physical copies in to discuss opportunities for college credit, pay-rate and classes to waive.

Step 6: Keep your Microsoft Office Specialist certificates in a safe place (Professional Certification)! Lifelong industry certification! Take your industry certificates to your future workplace, community college/university, and/or military to negotiate for pay increase and/or college credit(s).

Step 7: Office Mix(Add-on for PowerPoint)[For Fun]

Allows you to add recordings and create videos directly from PowerPoint.

On your home computer, install the “add-on” with this link.

Step 8: Sway [For Fun]

New way to create and share interactive reports, presentations, personal stories, and more. Similar to PowerPoint, but different.

Step 9: Jasperactive—is it done? Work on this now to increase your percentage and write on a post-it-note:

  • your name
  • percent
  • program (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc).

*Percentages will be double checked—be honest!*

Step 10: Watch Interactive Video (click the “play” button and continue to click where instructed on page as you watch the video)Next, take theGmetrix test “online” for OneNote—use the lightbulbs for help.

Go to and logon online. Today you will be taking the OneNote Gmetrix “Training” exam. OneNote is like a large electronic binder that allows for audio, video and notes. This program is much like a 3 ring binder, but much more! This program automatically saves—remember where you saved your file!This program is popular in colleges and businesses. Your goal today is to learn more about the OneNote program and then print your results! Use the light bulbs for help as you move along.
