We are currently seeking a Senior Associate with experience in estate & gift tax valuationsto play a significant and central role in the creation of our signature work product, while exceeding client’s expectations, and playing an integral role in the continued growth and development of our firm.

AboutthePosition

Among theSenior Associate’s specificduties will bethefollowing:

  • Performvaluationanalysis, including comprehensive DLOC and DLOM analysis, predominately for estate & gift tax valuations
  • Oversee valuation engagements and assume responsibility for all aspects of client deliverables
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of engagement proposals
  • Gain an understanding of client operations, processes and business objectives
  • Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis

Training (both formal and OJT) as well as credentialing (CFA, ASA, CVA, ABV) will play a significant role in professional development. The costs of these credentials and the training offerings best suited for completing these credentials will be paid for by the firm.

AbouttheSenior Associate

The Senior Associate will play a central and critical part in the production of Intrinsic valuations in the estate & gift tax context. This member of our team will participate in all phases of engagements, working simultaneously for multiple clients, applying skills in business valuation. He or she will work closely with other members of the appraisal team to provide among the highest quality valuation analyses in the industry.

Together with the above, the Senior Associate would ideally possess the following:

  • Three to six years of experience in a valuation firm or the valuation group of an accounting firm (local, regional or national)
  • Demonstrated experience in business valuation and analysis in the estate & gift tax context
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent research, organizational, and project management skills
  • An intimate understanding of financial statements and ratio analyses
  • An understanding of complex capital structures

Finally, the Senior Associate should demonstrate completion of, or substantial progress towards, the following valuation credentials:

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA)
  • Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA)
  • Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV)
