EXHIBITION of OUTDOOR SCULPTURE

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND EXHIBITION

The Exhibition

Sculpture on the Hill is a display of Sculpture held at the RylstoneKandos Show, at the Showground, Rylstone. Works will be selected for exhibition by Rylstone Sculptures Inc.Committee, and will be exhibited from Friday26th February commencing at 6 pm through to 9 pm Saturday 27th February 2015

An Entry Fee of $20 applies for each accepted Artwork, and there will one prize issued in the form of a Peoples Choice Award: $250 donated by RSI and their benefactors and Sash. A sash recognizing participation will be donated by the Show Society to each artist.

Conditions of Entry and Exhibition:

  1. Entries are invited from Sculptors. Not all applications for display will necessarily be accepted. Selection of a work for inclusion in the show will be made on the basis of a photograph and any further supporting information presented by the sculptor (notes, CV etc) to the RSI Committee with the Entry Application Form.
  2. Works may be offered for sale at the show. No commission applies.
  3. All works/exhibits in this section must be the bona fide work of the exhibitor.
  4. Each sculptor/exhibitor is to complete an Entry Application Form for each entry proposed. The completed Form is to be submitted to RSI Committee, PO Box 63, Rylstone NSW 2849 by Mon 1 February 2016. Entry Application Forms are available from RKSS Secretary (Ms. Nancy Keck) and from Chief Steward Ludwig Mlcek.
  5. Sculptors will be advised in their preferred nominated advice method (letter, email, SMS etc) not less than Friday19th Feb 2016. Entries to be delivered to the site on the Friday 26th Feb 2016 and installed by the artist as directed, by the Chief Steward.
  6. The exhibitor fee of $20 per work is to be paid upon acceptance of each work and no later than at the time of installation at the Showground.
  7. For identification the name and address of the sculptor/exhibitor must be attached to each work.
  8. Each work/exhibit must have means of being independently displayed, e.g. mounting structure, plinth, etc. provided and installed by the sculptor/exhibitor.
  9. The greatest possible care will be taken of entries, but no liability will be accepted for loss or damage of exhibits.
  10. Within practical limits size of work/exhibits is not restricted, however all sculptors are responsible for safely delivering and removing works from site. Crane hire and other infrastructure is to be the responsibility of the exhibitor and to be coordinated with the Chief Steward.
  11. All works/exhibits are to be removed from site by 4pm on the day after the Show (Sunday, 28th February). Reasonable leeway will be allowed for difficulty in returning to recover works but there will be no site security and accordingly no responsibility for works can be taken by RSI after this removal deadline.
