AEOprovided an overview of request for support including:
  • Geelong Revival will be held from 23-25 November 2018
  • CGM provided financial and in-kind sponsorship for the 2017 event
  • The event meets all the sponsorship criteria
  • CGM would be recognised as a Silver Partner, including recognition as the sponsor supporting the ‘Little Blue Train’ service providing free transport from one end of the event to the other
Discussion:Event also obtains sponsorship from Events Geelong and Tourism Geelong & The Bellarine. The event is well organised with a substantial free component for the public, continuing to have strong attendance. Due to popularity of the train and the extended route, there is potentially 40 minute wait times for the public. Potential for CGM to provide patrons with promotional material while waiting for the next service such as Love Central Geelong brochures. Request is for the same sponsorship arrangement as 2017.
Recommendation:To Support the Geelong Revival 2018 with cash sponsorship of $3000 (ex GST) and in-kind support of $7000 (ex GST) in return for sponsor benefits as a Silver Partner per sponsorship application.
