16. (140) Recruitment 12 employees have been recruited last year: need for various training courses.

17. (153) Local Disadvantages muddy roads, slow broadband, poor phone signal, no bus to Rednal site.

18. (155) Crime is not usually a serious problem for our parish businesses

19. (156) General too many new houses creating transportation problems, knowledgeable contacts wanted.

Quick Win Actions

1.  Improve recreational facilities for children; i.e. refurbish (paint up etc.) older play equipment on playground. See item # 41 on Place Plan.

2.  Cycle Racks at West Felton Stores and key parish locations (latter to be identified). See item # 34 on Place Plan.

3.  Use £35pa advert for WFPC in ‘Round & About’ to let people know to contact Parish Clerk to notify of road-maintenance issues including hedgerow undercutting and damage, infrastructure repairs and TPO destruction etc.

4.  The recycling site has been relocated to ‘The Punch Bowl’. However, the new site is not well identified and improvements to its signage and public information are sought. See Item # 6 on Place Plan

5.  Encourage volunteer engagement. - Liaise with SC and others e.g. local parish clubs and societies, SWT, Red Cross, SWT, EH, Chums, NHS (patient transport), Qube to organise local ‘volunteers recruitment fair’ at village hall, to coordinate local volunteer Work. See item # 13 on Place Plan.

6.  Encourage membership to Local Clubs and Societies. Organise Village Hall clubs fair to allow clubs and societies to recruit new members. See item # 42 of Place Plan.

7.  Request ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ organisation to offer posters, signs and advice to West Felton parish on dog-poo, littering reduction. See item # 43 of Place Plan.

8.  Consult with new management at ‘Punch Bowl’ to see if they would consider car-parking matting on grassed area next to their car-park to allow for overspill parking for Village Hall at pepper-corn rent. See item # 36 on Place Plan.

Other Actions

9.  Consideration of Provision of Bowling-Green Facility. See Item #5 on Place Plan

10.  Development of local potential tourism amenities. See Item #10 on Place Plan.

11.  Footpath mapping and improvements. See item#12 on Place Plan.

13.  Improved Public Transport. – Organise local meeting for Arriva and tanat Valley to discuss public transport with interested parties. See item #27 on Place Plan.

14.  Cycle Route & safety provision. Contact Sustrans to request provision of an identified and signed cycle route to Oswestry. See item #33 on Place Plan.

15.  Car parking provision. Liaise with Shropshire Council to identify possible ways forward. See item #36 on Place Plan.
