Not all standard devices are available with a modular plug-in configuration. For example, this Section does not include specifications for modular devices.

2.5TVSS RECEPTACLES

  4. Body: Nylon, with screw-open, cable-gripping jaws and provision for attaching external cable grip.
  5. External Cable Grip: Woven wire-mesh type made of high-strength, galvanized-steel wire strand, matched to cable diameter, and with attachment provision designed for corresponding connector.

2.9CORD AND PLUG SETS

Retain this article if cord and plug sets for equipment are furnished by Owner or are specified in other Sections. Coordinate with other Sections and with Part3.

  1. Description:
  2. Match voltage and current ratings and number of conductors to requirements of equipment being connected.
  3. Cord: Rubber-insulated, stranded-copper conductors, with TypeSOW-A jacket; with green-insulated grounding conductor and ampacity of at least 130 percent of the equipment rating.
  4. Plug: Nylon body and integral cable-clamping jaws. Match cord and receptacle type for connection.
