ANNUAL TEST PROCEDURE MEMPHIS REFINERY

MARINE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM

TimeDateInitial

1.______LSH, LSHH – Vessel High Level and Overfill:

Using jumpers in the vessel end of the connection cable, the high level alarm and the overfill protection shall be checked by removing the jumpers from the plug, causing an alarm and then a shutdown. The shutdown will close the liquid loading and the vapor valves and shutdown the blower.

2.______PSL, PSLL – Pressure Switch Low, Pressure Switch Low Low

Using the pressure test equipment and test meters, a vacuum will be induced on the pressure switches to cause an alarm condition and then a shutdown condition. The shutdown will close the liquid loading and vapor valves and shutdown the blower.

3.______PSH, PSHH – Pressure Switch High, Pressure Switch High High

Using the pressure test equipment and test meters, a positive pressure will be induced on the pressure switches to cause an alarm and the shutdown condition. The shutdown will close the liquid loading and vapor valves and shutdown the blower.

4.______PDSH, PDSL – Pressure Differential Switch High (Back flow at Detonation Arresters)

Using pressure test equipment and test meters, a positive pressure will be induced on the low-pressure side, causing a back flow condition. The shutdown will close the liquid loading and vapor valves and shutdown the blower.

5.______TSH – Temperature Switch High (at Detonation Arrestor)

Using a JOFRA 202 Temperature Calibrator (or equal), a high temperature will be induced on the temperature switches. The shutdown will close the liquid loading and vapor valves and will shutdown the blower.

6.______FSL – Sample Low Flow to O2 Analyzers

By manual closing off the flow, a low flow condition will be induced at the flow switch. The shutdown will close the liquid loading and vapor valves and will shutdown the blower.

7.______ASH, ASHH – High Oxygen Concentration, High High Oxygen Concentration

Using air or span gas (es), the oxygen level in the stream to the analyzers will be raised to the alarm set point and then to the shutdown set point. The shutdown will close the liquid loading and vapor valves and will shutdown the blower.

8.______ESD – Emergency Shutdown Push Button

By actuating the ESD push button, the liquid loading and vapor valves will close and the blower will shutdown . The flare will also be shutdown.

9.______LSHH, LSH – Liquid levels; Knockout Drum

Using water, the liquid level in the vessel will be raised to cause a high level in the vessel for the alarm condition. Then the level will be raised to cause a high high level condition that will close the liquid loading valve and the vapor block valves and shutdown the blower.

10.______TSH; Detonation Arrester

Using JOFRA Temperature Calibrator (or Equal), a high temperature will be induced on the temperature switch, causing a shutdown of the entire system.

11.______TSL – Pilot Low Temperature

Using a millivolt signal generator, a signal will be induced onto the temperature switches, causing an alarm and then a shutdown condition. The shutdown will cause the flare to shutdown, closing the flare block valves and shutdown the entire system

12.______BL – Vapor Blower Failure

Manual trip motor starter, causing shutdown of vapor blower, closing liquid, vapor and natural gas block valves.
