SECTION 12(2) DOCTORSrefresher course
WHAT: A one day course recognised by the NHS East of England aimed at doctors seeking approval under Section 12(2) of the mental health act 1983 (an approved course is compulsory).
WHERE: murray Edwards college (previously new hall), kaetsu centre, Huntingdon rd, Cambridge
WHEN: Wednesday 24 June 2009
Wednesday 14 October 2009
WHO: multi disciplinary training team including medical, legal, social work colleagues with service user input
HOW: Mixture of lectures, small group work on case studies, practical exercises e.g. filling the forms, a quiz and open forum
COST: £200 – parking and lunches included, overnight accommodation available at an extra cost
