Secondary Initiatives Coordinator (Full-time)

Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as a Full-time Coordinatorfor our Secondary Initiatives Department. Under the direction of the Director of Secondary Initiatives, this person will assist with the coordination of all instructional requirements for the High School Initiatives program to meet the objectives of Columbus Technical College and promote these initiatives throughout our local community and outlying service delivery areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordination of instructional requirements for College’s High School Initiatives
  • Promotes College’s High School Initiatives with high school representatives to increase enrollments
  • Coordinates with Student Affairs, Deans of Academic Affairs, Institutional Effectiveness and Institutional Communications to produce and distribute appropriate marketing material for the College’s High School Initiatives.
  • Communicates regularly on progress toward project goals and/or required results;
  • Develops, implements, and oversees the maintenance of filing, recordkeeping, distribution ofmaterials, and other types of office/program systems;
  • Coordinates with Deans of Academic Affairs to conduct program assessments and needs analyses to recommend the development of new instructional programs for high school students.
  • Participates in required staff development activities and serves on College governance committees.
  • Maintains knowledge of current policies, laws, trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate policy notices, interpretations and attending training sessions, meetings and conferences.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Secondary Initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree *and* Two (2) years related work experience

Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of related experience in High School or College setting a plus
  • Familiarity with BANNER (student database) a plus

Salary/Benefits

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include state holidays, annualleave andsick leave, State of Georgia Retirement, Health and Flexible Benefits Program.
