Searching for an Apartment

Think of a city or the vicinity of a city in which you would like to live. Once you have picked a city, you will try to find an apartment to live in. You will be finding two apartments. The first apartment, you have a rent limit of $600. For the second apartment, there is no limit to your spending so find a nice one.

Go to to begin your search.

  1. In the search bar, type in the city and state you would like to live in, above the search bar be sure to click on the Apartment option so you do not get condos and houses.
  1. In the center of the search bar, you will be given a chance to narrow down the minimum/maximum rent and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. This is where you can indicate the max rent amount of $600 and you can indicate All Beds and All Bathsfor bedrooms and bathrooms so you get more options.
  1. At this point, you should get map of the area you searched for covered in green diamonds of the apartments found. Towards the top of the screen you can click on the blue Filter link to narrow down options important to you if you choose. You can also scan over the results and find some that look like they are worth looking further into.
  1. After clicking on each apartment, you will be taken to a page that list the apartment models available, the number of bedrooms, and the price. Click on a model to view more details and then choose the model you would like to live in as long as it fits the price range.
  1. After you have narrowed down your search to the apartment building or complex you would most like, fill in the requested information on the attached page. You may NOT choose an apartment that does not give detailed apartment information and amenities because you will need this information to answer the last page.
  1. After you have found and listed the needed information for both apartments, answer the following questions on the back of this page.
