There have been many US presidents over the last 100 years; choose one of them and create a fact file about them – how long were they president for? What was their greatest success?
There has been lots of fantastic music that has come from America! Find out who your family’s favourite American artists are and have a listen to some of them, what do you think?
Make a playlist of different American songs you could listen to on your road trip. Make sure youhave a song from a range of genres, such as blues, jazz, country, rock, hip hop, rock and roll.
Plan a second road trip, this time around South America. Plan your route on a map andwrite an itinerary.
Native American Owner Sticks
Some Native American tribes used sticks to mark ownership. They would often leave them next to animals that they had hunted. Other tribes respected this mark of ownership and leave the food alone. Carved animals and decorative feathers and beads were woven to the sticks using string and the objects attached were used to show what type of person owned the stick.
