Scottrade, Inc. has aTreasury Managerposition available in St. Louis, MO. The main purpose of this position is to support the establishment of the overall corporate strategy and quality assurance for liquidity, funding, risk management, balance sheet management and the investment strategies for corporate cash and deposit balances. Responsible for helping manage counterparty risk and instituting strong controls in the treasury function to support the growing needs of the business in a heightened regulatory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and expand key treasury processes including forecasting, budgeting, counterparty credit analysis and quality assurance functions.
  • Develop balance sheet forecast using multiple economic variables and identify trends to develop an optimal plan for cash flow, forecasting and budgeting to optimize liquidity management processes and facilitate decision-making.
  • Support budget management, planning and expenditures.
  • Perform analysis and reporting of counter-party risk and financial due diligence of new vendors.
  • Use data and key performance indicators to identify trends and recommend corrective action plans as necessary, and to ensure quality control of information used in external reporting and internal decision making.
  • Maintain and enhance key treasury processes, procedures, and documentation to meet or exceed existing and changing regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement an expanded liquidity stress testing protocol, consistent with expanded CFTC and FINRA requirements.
  • Participate, add value and lead future treasury strategy discussions.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and examinations by FINRA, SEC, OCC and Federal Reserve Board regulators.
  • Work closely with business units to understand risk management and related finance and performance issues, consistent with Treasury’s overall responsibilities.
  • Ensure the integrity of all treasury systems, cash management and risk management systems, controls and processes and implementation of treasury best practices.
  • Develop relationships across the organization, working with counterparts in areas that include finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, legal, and financial operations that create processes that support the growth and expansion of the business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of the Treasury field, including knowledge of best practices.
  • Understanding of financial and accounting principles, terminology and concepts.
  • Understanding of fixed income terminology, product structures and financial instruments offered by banks and brokerages.
  • Solid working knowledge of micro and macroeconomic fundamentals.
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge of balance sheet modeling and database software.
  • Ability to grasp complex information quickly and accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and process orientation in order to prioritize tasks.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and drive results using multiple sources of information within short timelines.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in order to present findings to multiple audiences.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 4+ years experience with financial accounting, fixed income investing, and financial analysis required.
  • 2+ years experience with financial forecasting and reporting required.
