Kesteven RFC Minis Festival
Scoring and rules of the tournament
Matches will be played according to the Laws of the Game as set down by the RFU, except where the Regulations and/or Rules of Play have been amended by The Continuum.
There will be no limit to squad sizes
THERE WILL BE NO CONVERSIONS IN ANY AGE GROUP
U7S – U11s
Under the RFU ‘Shaping the Game’ regulations, U7 – U11 will not be competing, but will play 4-way matches in their pools.
U12 Rules
There are 2 pools, with each team in a pool playing all the others. The winner from each pool will go through to the final and play matches
The following points will be awarded for the pool games:
Win – 4 pointsDraw – 2 pointsLose – 0 point
Should two or more teams be level on points on completion of the pool matches, pool positions will be decided as follows:
1.The team scoring the highest number of tries.
2.The team conceding the least number of tries.
- The result between the teams concerned.
- If still level, one extra half will be played.
- If still level, the first score wins.
At the finals should the teams be level at full time then one period of 7 minutes extra time will be played (according to the age group). If the score still remains level the trophy will be shared.
Prizegiving
Prizegiving will take place as soon as possible after the final.
The winners will receive a trophy & medals, the runners-up will also receive medals.
