Workshop 3 – morning (2 hours): Improving English skills through using numbers

·  Numbers and describing numbers (and units)

·  Dates and times (technical formats and standards)

·  Comparing numbers and describing Equations

Workshop 4 – afternoon (2 hours): Writing and Reading papers and preparing a talk

·  How to write/read an English paper and extract information

·  Presentation preparation

Day 3 _- Wednesday 4

Workshop 5 – morning (2 hours): Media and public understanding of science

·  Newspaper content and its effect on public perception

·  Use of words and pictures to communicate a correct (or false) message

Workshop 6 – afternoon (2 hours): Presentations

·  Final preparation

·  Conference
