RETURNING FAMILY INFORMATION

Dear currently enrolled Discovery Link parents,

The Discovery Link program at Carson Elementary will be accepting Discovery Link Registration packets for currently enrolled families from April 17 – April 28 at Carson, at the Discovery Link Registration Office, and via email for the 2017-2018 school year. Please see below for the details for specific times and dates for on-site registration.

Returning families with up-to date accounts as of May 8, 2017 are guaranteed a position for their students if registration packets are submitted between April 17 - April 28. Siblings of current students have priority status and are guaranteed a position in our programs as long as registration packets are submitted between April 17-April 28. As a reminder, only complete packets will be accepted.

In Person at Carson Elementary:

● You may return your packet to Carson Elementary during the following days and times

MONDAY: 7:00 - 9:00 AM & 4:30 - 6:00 PM.

TUESDAY: 7:00-9:00 AM & 4:30 - 6:00 PM

WEDNESDAY: 7:00 -9:00 AM & 4:30 - 6:00 PM

● You may ONLY return your packet to the following individuals listed below, school staff CANNOT accept the Discovery Link registration packet

In Person at the Discovery Link Registration Office:

● Returning Families - April 17 - April 28 from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m at 1617 S. Acoma Street, Denver, CO 80223

Email Option - Complete registration packets can be scanned and sent via email to:

● April 17 at 8:00 a.m. - April 28 at 4:00 p.m

● Files must be legible and no larger than 10mb

○ DPS rejects emails with attachments totaling more than 10mb

○ Cell phone pictures of pages cannot be accepted

● You will receive an automatic response if your email is received

● Packets submitted before April 17 at 8:00 a.m. will NOT be accepted

● Packets submitted after April 28 at 4:00 p.m will be processed with waitlisted families and priority status will be lost

● Incomplete packets will be returned to the parent once it has been reviewed. You will not receive a time and date stamp until a fully complete packet is received with required forms attached (see Registration Packet for details on Immunization Records and Health Appraisal Forms).

We will be adhering to the times and deadlines strictly. If your packet is NOT turned in on time, you will forfeit your guaranteed spot in the program and will be placed on the waitlist in the order your packet was received.

As a reminder, only complete packets will be accepted. A time and date stamp will not be honored unless fully complete.
