Start Up Package

The start up package should have come home with your child. Inside you will find very valuable information pertaining to Cornell Village P.S.

Please read through all the documents and return the necessary forms.

The Student Verification form also needs to be reviewed. Please make any necessary changes to contact info for yourselves or emergency contact and return. All forms must be signed and returned to the office.

Please make sure if your child stays at school for lunch that the days they are leaving they have a note from you to leave school property and they sign out in the office.

Agenda and Pizza orders

The agenda’s has been posted for purchase on School Cash Online. (The site has been very slow today and having issues registering new logins)

We will continue to Pre-order each year but this year being the first, we thought we would extend it.

Please go online if you are interested in purchasing an agenda.

Pizza orders have also been posted for purchase to School Cash Online. . (The site has been very slow today and having issues registering new logins)

The pizza orders are for Grade 1-8 students and they are offered on Monday’s for the duration of the order.

The pizza program is run by My Little Pizzeria starting Mon, Sept 19th and ending Mon, Oct 31st.

It is a whole wheat pizza with an apple juice and cookie.

Locks

The office does have Dudley locks for sale for $5 if anyone is interested in purchasing a lock or if you need to replace a lock mid-year. Please stop by the office to pay in cash.

This email has been sent to all emails we have on file for Cornell Village Parents/Guardians. It does not mean you have opted to receive future newsletters.

Please follow the instructions below to add yourself to the Cobra newsletter and any other important information pertaining to the school. This service will work if your email address is already on file at the school with your child. If you receive an error message after following the instructions, then your email address is not on file and you need to contact the school to have it added. Also, if you would like to change your email or add the other parent/guardian email then you will need to have the school add it.

FYI, there are some problems with sending emails to hotmail accounts on a mass email, so please contact the office if you would like to update your email address.

Once on the school website scroll down and insert your email address to begin the process. You will receive weekly updates about important Cornell Village P.S. information and school events. By subscribing to this email list you will also receive important tips for Online Registration.

2. While on the Cornell Village P.S. website, click on School Cash Online to register for the 2016-2017 school year. The student number is required to register your child. This will be found on the June Report Card.

School Cash Online is used for all payments for field trips, pizza, tickets, mouth pieces/reeds, graduation, etc.

Lunch Assistant’s Needed

We are in need of full time lunch assistants. If you are not able to commit full time and you are interested working part time, on call or volunteering, please contact the office. Our kindergarten always needs help through the lunch hour.

Full time School Lunch Assistants needed (paid hour a day - 12:50-1:50 at $11.97 + 4% vacation pay).

Dress Code

With the warmer temperatures, please make sure sunscreen and hats are applied each day. Also, please make sure to follow the CVPS “Dress Code”.

-Students are asked to dress modestly with midriff, chest area and buttocks covered. Tube tops, spaghetti straps, muscle shirts are unacceptable. Shirt straps must be two fingers wide. Shorts should be at least mid-thigh length. Undergarments must be concealed (including straps).

-Clothing that contains offensive words, symbols or messages are not acceptable.

-Appropriate footwear is recommended (running shoes with socks) during gym; DPA and outdoor play (no flip flops)
