Alexandra on the Pacific Mooloolaba

Alexandra on the Pacific is a four and a half star resort fully self-contained apartments, superbly located on Alexandra Headlands. Ocean views from all apartment balconies, and only five minutes' walk to the Mooloolaba alfresco cafes, restaurants

CEREMONIES

The Opening Ceremony will be held at 8:00am on Sunday 26th July at the Multisports Complex, Fisherman’s Road, Maroochydore. Teams are to assemble in walkout uniform/tracksuits with team management prior to the commencement of the ceremonies. Closing Ceremony will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday 1st August.

EDUCATION EXCURSION

This is a compulsory for all participating players and officials as per School Sport Australia Guidelines. Players will be going to Australia Zoo, 1638 Steve Irwin Way, Beerwah.

UNIFORMS

TRAVELLING UNIFORM

All team members are to travel on the plane and to and from the games in their "Walk Out" uniform [tracksuit, polo shirt, white shoes and team socks. (shoes must be predominantly white)].

DAILY UNIFORM

All players are provided with the following clothing: Tracksuit, Football shorts (2), Polo Shirt, dress shorts, playing socks(2), Sports bag and cap. All team members are to travel to and from the games in their "Walk Out" uniform [tracksuit, polo shirt, white shoes and team socks. (shoes must be predominantly white)].

WHAT TO PACK

Essential to pack adequate clothing for 10 days. It can be cool in Mooloolaba. [Avg Min ~10 degrees, Avg Max 21 degrees]

§  Shorts, jeans, socks, cap, bathers

§  Shoes plus joggers

§  Tee shirts, casual clothes, underclothes

§  2 plastic garbage bags for dirty clothing

§  Towel

§  Sunscreen, SSWA water bottle, sunglasses

All rooms have washing machines and clothes dryers.

PERSONAL TOILETRIES AND MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS

e.g. soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant etc to be taken

LAUNDRY

Player’s jumpers will be collected straight after the game and returned the following day or prior to the next match. Players will need to wash their own shorts and sox. The cost of jumper laundry has been included in the Tour cost.

HAND LUGGAGE ON PLANE

SSWA Bag should be used to carry hand luggage on the plane. Football boots and other shoes to be packed in carry on bag. Players may wish to take reading material.

SPENDING MONEY

This is up to the players, but we recommend that an amount of around $100-$150 should be more than adequate. It is also important that players do not carry excessive amounts and are conscious of the security of money and valuables at all times. Players will be required to purchase some meals – see meal planner.

Championship results will be publish on the School Sport Australia website daily at http://www.schoolsport.edu.au/home-2/sports-results/

PHOTOGRAPHS

Any additional orders can be placed directly with the photographer – PRO PHOTO BOOTH [9249-3043]. Photos will be delivered on return from Melbourne. If possible, we will distribute them at the airport on Sunday 2nd August. If there is a parent who may be able to collect the photos [from 22 Booker St Dianella] during the week and bring them to the airport please let me know

GAME VIDEOS

Souvenir action photographs will be available for purchase during the Championship.

All games will also be recorded on DVD. A flat fee of $125 per set of 5 games and $35 fee per game if ordered separately. These fees include GST. If mailing out to individuals, a postage and handling fee of $5 will apply to each mail out. A period of 21 days for delivery is required upon receipt of orders.

MOBILE PHONES

All players with mobile phones will be asked to give their numbers to the officials. We will require players’ mobile phones to be switched off for 2 hours before games and up to 1 hour after games. Please call your sons outside these times. Officials will be contactable in emergencies during this time.

PRE MATCH ROUTINE

We will aim to arrive at ground no later than 90 minutes prior to start of match. Report to team management. Attend to medical requirements when available. Ensure that you are drinking water. Enter change rooms as a group at the allocated time and prepare for pre match warm up.

POST MATCH ROUTINE / RECOVERY

Players will be required to stay with team management in change rooms for up to 30 minutes after each match. Parents are asked to wait to be invited into rooms after this time. During this time players will participate in warm down and stretch under the supervision of the team trainer. Players will be provided salad rolls, fruit, PowerAde and sweets immediately after the game.
