*Goes to a friend’s house usually once a week after school on the bus. Often goes to a friend’s house from ballet or church on S and N afternoons.
Personality –
Very outgoing and friendly little girl. Has lots of friends from school and ballet that she plays with, either at their house or at hers. Loves dancing. Hates piano lessons, which her parents make her take. Likes school, especially English and Art class. Has a very vivid imagination, but it often makes her late because she’s off in her own world when she needs to be getting ready!

F, 1-4pm – Teaches an education class at the University
N, 10-11:30am – church service with the family
*Anne is the family’s main driver, organizer of carpools and scheduler, so she often drives the kids and their friends to their after school activities.
*Plays golf or tennis with friends once or twice a week.
*Volunteer organises the costumes and sewing for Catie’s dance shows, so she goes to all Catie’s cast rehearsals to measure and/or fit kids for costumes.
Personality –
Organised and active. Has a complicated schedule because she works part-time, so she spends a lot of time driving. Is the main errand-runner for the family. Very involved in her kids’ activities. Loved as a teacher because she is so energetic and funny. Likes the family to eat dinner together as often as possible.

M-F, 8am-5:30pm – Works for the municipal government on city planning and structural projects
S, 3-4pm – plays racquetball at the local community centre
TR, 6:30-7:30 – hockey practices at an arena in the next community, assistant coach

* When a deadline is coming up, will sometimes works for several hours in the evening or on the weekend
* Bob attends all of Dave’s hockey games as he is the assistant coach of the team
Personality –
Workaholic. Manages a large city department. Because of Anne’s complex schedule, he routinely takes the bus to and from work. Overtime work hours are typically spent in his home office. Struggles with managing a work/home balance. Must find out from Anne what activities the kids are up to. Enjoys being a part of his children’s sports activities. Signed up to be Dave’s assistant hockey coach to ensure he attends all practices and games. Tries to attend Catie’s performances but work sometimes gets in the way. Feels disconnected from Catie.

*Goes to a friend’s house usually once a week after school or on the weekend, rides his bike.
Personality –
Smart and shy. Often made fun of at school. Has a small group of friends from his book club. Loves reading, doesn’t like playing hockey because he is teased by teammates. Continues to play hockey because it makes him feel closer to his dad. Likes school, especially geography and band class. Feels he is fairly independent and tries to take on new responsibilities at home. Trying to convince his parents to let him get his learner’s driver license.
