Office Phone Use: We are always ready to assist you and our students with emergencies such as, lunch needs, eye glasses/contacts or transportation changes, but the office phone is not for use for reasons other than the noted emergencies. We have had a few cases of the parent texting the student asking the student to call or even calling the school asking to speak to the child and it is not an emergency situation. Also be reminded that instructional time is extremely important and we do our best to protect our students’ learning time by not interrupting the day with things that could be handled before or after school. We are here to serve you but instruction is always first. Thanks for your support.

Heads Up: Another survey coming soon for you to complete – once the parent link is released, I will post it.

The Office of Accountability is administering the AdvancED/SACS stakeholder survey again this year as the annual district stakeholder survey for 2015. By continuing to administer this survey, your school, as well as the district, will have a growing, longitudinal view of stakeholder data over time. These surveys are part of our accreditation and ongoing monitoring of stakeholder feedback as required by AdvancED. The survey for staff and students is now available online. Data from these surveys will be used as a part of your school’s strategic planning. The surveys are open from Monday, January 26, 2015 and will remain open through Friday, March 13, 2015.It is critical for all school instructional staff students and parents to participate in each of the surveys.

What are we doing for Black History Month? Some student leaders along with one of our counselors (Ms. Abernathy) have put together small educational clips that will be shared each morning for this month, on the morning announcements educating our students on the accomplishments of many of our African American Leaders.
