Attendance

The class with the highest attendance last week were class 1 with 98.7%. 48 children had 100% attendance. Well done to all those children.

School lunch on Thursday 5th May

On Thursday 5th May lunches will be served in school because the village hall is being used as a Polling station for the local elections. Please see below the change of menu. Unfortunately, there will be no jacket potato option on this day.

Afterschool Choir, Tuesday 3rd May

Unfortunately, there will be no afterschool choir next Tuesday as Mrs James is out with children attending an Orienteering competition at RossettSchool. Many apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sainsbury’s Vouchers

Tuesday 3rd May is the last day Sainsbury’s will be issuing vouchers. Could I please remind everyone to bring into school any last minute vouchers you or your family and friends may have collected.

FOFs update

FOFs had a very successful planning meeting this week, organising Follifest which takes place on Saturday 25th June. They are still looking for sponsors for the event, please contact Karen Winspear or Becky Ashely-Still if you would like to be a sponsor or can give any contacts who may be interested. Thank you.

Could any remaining sponsorship money from the ‘Sponsored Bounce’, please be handed into the school office early next week.

Water bottles

Could I please remind everyone that children are to have their water bottles in school every day. Thank you.

-James Finch, Sports Coach is running a 2 day sports course in the half term holidays at NorthRigtonPrimary school, Tuesday 31st May and Wednesday 1st June, 9am-3pm each day for years 2 – 6. £40 for 2 days or £25 for 1 day. Please contact James Finch on 07854596959 or email:

-The Kids of the Castle youth club runs on Friday nights at Spofforth village hall. It is open to all local village children between the ages of 8 (KS2) and 16. It runs 7pm - 8.30pm and costs £3 per child per session, no membership fee. This includes all the activities and a drink and snack.

The All Saints Church Kids Club, Spofforth

First Sunday of the month during school term time

9.30am – 10.30am

Craft activities, songs, games, stories and prayers with a Christian theme (and refreshments!)
