What is Back – to – School Night?
Back-to-School-Night is intended for all parents and guardians. Even if you are not new to Rosewood, Back-to-School Night is very important because you here about school matters from Mrs. Crowder and you will meet your child’s teacher and hear the teacher review your child’s class curriculum, procedures, homework, behavior expectations, and other important information. THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR A PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCE. If you would like to talk to your child’s teacher about any specific concerns, please schedule a conference.
GENERAL MEETING IN AUDITORIUM:
General Session Presentation:5:30 P.M. – 6:20 P.M.
First Session – teacher presentations take place in the classrooms:
GRADESTK/ K – 5:6:25 P.M. – 7:05 P.M.
Second Session - – teacher presentations take place in the classrooms:
GRADES TK/K – 5:7:15 P.M. – 7:55 P.M.
Please plan to join Principal Crowder in the auditorium at 5:30pm for the General Session presentation. You will be dismissed from the auditorium for the classroom sessions after the presentation.
If you plan to attend presentations for more than one child, you will go to the second session at the conclusion of session one. CLASSROOM DOORS WILL LOCK PROMPTLY AT 6:25pm and 7:15pm. If you arrive late you will not be admitted to the session.
Back-to-School-Night is for parents only; please make necessary arrangements for childcare. Teachers sometime share information intended for parents/guardians only. There are 40 childcare slots available and are filled on a first come first served bases. Children are not permitted to play on the yard or wait for parents in the auditorium or in hallways. Children are not permitted in the sessions. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Please join Mrs. Crowder in the auditorium beginning at 5:30PM for important information. At 6:20PM you will be dismissed to classrooms. Classroom doors will lock at the start of the classroom presentation. The reason for this is that the teachers have organized presentations and have only 40 minutes to disseminate valuable information for your students’ success during the 2017-2018 school year. Latecomers tend to ask questions previously addressed. If you arrive late you will not be admitted to the session.
Back-to-School Night is for adults only; please make necessary arrangements for childcare. Back-to-School Night information is shared early to allow parents to plan for childcare. Teachers sometime share information intended for parents/guardians only. For your convenience, we will provide childcare during Back- to-School Night at a nominal fee, but pre-registration is required and space is limited – only 40 spaces. Childcare will take place in the library. Students will have a slice of pizza, a bag of chips, a bottle of water, and watch a movie. A pre-registration form and $5.00 cash is due with the registration form no later than Monday, August 21 or until all spaces are filled. Spaces will not be saved unless the registration form and money is received. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. Be advised that there are families that bring the pre-registration information to the Main Office prior to the start of the school year to ensure a childcare space.
Childcare will be available beginning at 5:15pm until 8:00pm. If you pre-register your child for the childcare service, arrangements will be made with ARC and YS to escort your child to the library.
Please complete the tear-off below if you plan to use this service. Return tear-off and $5.00 cash (per child) to the Main Office in a sealed envelope with your child’s name printed neatly on the outside of the envelope.

NOTE: Parents/Guardians are not permitted to leave campus during the childcare period.
