The AISA grants a one-time $10,000 scholarship to any AISA student who attends Huntingdon College. Apply through Huntingdon.
LINLY HEFLIN SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN-Minimum ACT score of 23; based somewhat on need, good academic record desired, must be attending a four-year college or university. Deadline-January 9, 2016
BAPTIST FOUNDATION OF ALABAMA SCHOLARSHIP-For students who are member of a Southern Baptist church; this year’s application will open in January; last year’s deadline was in March so check their website after the first of the year,
LILLIAN P. ANDREWS SCHOLARSHIP-Application process usually opens in February. I will receive applications and distribute to students. Our school usually has anywhere from 3-6 seniors awarded around $4,000. Academic record and resume is important.
ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP-for students whose families belong to a rural electric coop, such as CWE. I have not received this year’s application yet, but last year it was due in March.
JIMMY RANE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP-application will open December 1 and can be downloaded from The following explains eligibility:
Jimmy Rane Foundation scholars are students who exhibit academic excellence, leadership skills and community involvement as well as activities, awards and honors, and who have a demonstrated financial need in order to attend college. They must demonstrate their desire and ability to overcome barriers and to achieve their goals. Your application will be evaluated on your:
Future goals and plans to achieve them;
Successful preparation as a high school student to prepare and pursue a college education;
Self motivation in completing challenging coursework;
Demonstration of financial need.
ALABAMA CONSERVATION DISTRICT EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP-Have not received applications yet, but last year’s was due in March. Academics and financial situation considered.

- Application for scholarships at student’s “preferred” universities and application to other scholarship providers must be completed before submitting your SSF scholarship application by December 1, 2016.
- Submission of FASFA forms for 2017-18 before submitting your SSF scholarship application December 1, 2016.
