Scheduling Process in 10 Easy Steps

~Registration 2013-2014~

1.  ______Complete header information, including student phone number and email address. This information will be used in the event that there is a scheduling conflict over the summer months.

2.  ______Complete Required Courses section. You will select one option in each of the blocks, ensuring all graduation requirements are being met.

3.  ______Complete the Electives section, keeping in mind that these are classes you intend to take. Dropping and adding new classes will not be possible. If you do not know anything about the class, don’t sign up for it! Do your research and making INFORMED DECISIONS.

4.  ______Obtain all teacher signatures for the classes which require it. You will not be permitted to take the class if you do not obtain permission from the teacher. Keep in mind that several courses require an application to be submitted prior to the decision being made.

5.  ______If you have selected American Sign Language I, French I, or German I as your foreign language selection, please also indicate your 2nd choice in the event of a scheduling conflict. Write the name of the course next to the words, “Alternative World Language Selection.”

6.  ______Complete the “Additional Alternates Section” by listing 5 courses. These courses will not be scheduled unless there is a scheduling conflict.

7.  ______When you have made all selections, count the number of blocks (not bubbles) you have selected. You should have 15 EXACTLY (Marching Band is not included in the 15).

8.  ______Sign the back of the Course Selection card. By signing, you agree to abide by the Mason High School Drop/Add policy guidelines.

9.  ______Have your parent/guardian sign the back of the Course Selection card. This implies that they are also in agreement with the courses you have selected.

10. ______Turn in the completed Course Selection Card to your HOMEROOM TEACHER on March 15th (8th grade)/March 21st (9th-11th grades). If you do not turn in the Course Selection Card, your schedule will not be created.
