Inpatient Summary Page

Summary Pages are customized views of PowerChart. They pull information from various parts of the chart and summarize them; a snapshot. The IP, or Inpatient Summary pulls information from labs, history of procedures, a list of physicians attending the patient, and other information. From this page you can see the patient’s diagnosis, and vital signs from the past three days, and a current list of the patient’s inpatient medications. Click on a heading such as Diagnoses and Problems to open a list of both active and historical diagnoses and problems. If applicable, the historical problem can be dragged up to the active diagnosis list.

Now Available in PowerChart

The Inpatient Summary Page can be customized.

At the top of the inpatient summary you can click on Customize and change the arrangement of the headings. You may leave certain headings open to view them instantly upon opening the Inpatient Summary, or close some of them so that opening the page will reveal only the results you want to see.
You can make three columns of headings rather than two, or place one or two headings in one column if these are headings you wish to focus on.
After you make changes, save your preferences
**See a Physician Coach for assistance in customizing your IP Summary page.**
