Chess NYC
Chess NYC philosophy is to emphasize sport and fun by providing supervised, spirited play, each student associates Chess with fun, and therefore larger numbers of them ultimately excel or at least become proficient in the great, significant, game of chess.
Fit for Life
Fit 4 Life NYC is committed to filling the activity gaps that exist in a child's life by introducing them to traditional and non-traditional sports, dance, martial arts and fitness programs.Programs utilize our signature Play with a Purpose model which focuses on encouraging constant movement, developing physical competence, boosting self-esteem and promoting a lifetime of activity!
Mad Science
Mad Science’s in-class interactive workshops are aligned to STEM objectives, curriculum correlated and meet state and provincial requirements. With professional lesson plans, unique equipment, and animated instructors, Mad Science Workshops are an ideal way to reinforce core science concepts. Their hands-on approach, and focus on science and engineering practices teaches kids about the fun of science and helps to spark their imaginations!
Music Together (Pre-K only)
Music Together®is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them. Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning. By emphasizing actual music experiences rather than concepts about music, Music Together introduces children to the pleasures of making music instead of passively receiving it from CDs or TV.
Play Well
Play-Well Outreach, the non-profit partner ofPlay-Well TEKnologies, brings LEGO® based engineering-focused educational programs schools and communities. Since 1997, Play-Well TEKnologies has taught over 400,000 students about engineering and architecture utilizing LEGO®.
Private Picasso Art Program
Private Picasso believes in the intrinsic power of the arts and strive to help build self confidence in our students. In addition to refining our students’ fine motor skills, our program also improves their verbal and visual vocabularies and helps them discover new and exciting art techniques. All of our classes focus on exploration of materials and creative problem-solving rather than mimicry of adult-level art mechanics. We emphasize art instruction grounded in the intuitive elements of the fine arts, not merely on arts and crafts. We strive to provide our students with a better appreciation of the arts and their own thoughts and abilities.
