End of Year Examinations

Year 9 and 10

In preparation for the public examinations that students will have to sit in the future and to measure how students have progressed this year, there will be a formal examination week starting for all students in Years 9 and 10 on Monday 15th June. Students will have a formal examination in most of the subjects that they are studying. Students will be given an examination timetable by their tutors prior to the examination. Students will need to attend the Academy in the normal way during this week and if there are times when they do not have an examination they will attend sessions as normal.

Year 7 and 8

Students will have a formal examination in most of the subjects that they are studying. Students will need to attend the Academy in the normal way during this week and if there are times when they do not have an examination they will attend sessions as normal.

Year 7, 8 and 9 English examinations

English examinations will take place in the Sports Hall at the times and dates below. Full details of the procedures for the exams will be given to students by their English teachers. Students will need to attend the Academy in the normal way during this week and if there are times when they do not have an examination they will attend sessions as normal.

Wednesday 6th May – Year 8, Session 1 (a and b pop on at same time).

Wednesday 6th May – Year 7, Session 2 (b pop)

Wednesday 6th May – Year 9, Session 3 (b pop)

Thursday 7th May – Year 7, Session 3 (a pop)

Thursday 7th May – Year 9, Session 3 (a pop).

These exams are an important measure of progress and need to be approached with maturity by all students. Students should revise thoroughly for these examinations and will be provided with revision lists by their subject teachers. Students will need to bring the appropriate equipment with them to every examination.
