30th September – 4th October 2013
Sayers Croft in Ewhurst, Surrey is a beautiful, safe site with 56 acres of woodlands, meadows, ponds and fields and has been providing quality outdoor experiences for young people for over 70 years.
It is a wonderful Field Study Centre where children will participate in a range of outdoor activities, building on teamwork, confidence and communication skills.
Accommodation
There are several dormitories on site at Sayers Croft that are fully equipped to accommodate large groups of children. Year 5 will be staying in a spacious chalet called Rudgwick which has its own common room and separate dormitories for boys and girls. The children will be sleeping on bunk beds and there are separate showers and toilets for their use adjacent to the building. The children will be supervised at all times.
The teachers’ rooms are next to the children’s so they will always be on hand and readily available should your child need them at night. There are also members of Sayers Croft staff who live on site and will be able to help if there are any problems. The dormitory is equipped with a security alarm which is activated during the night.
Food
An area of the dining room is allocated to our school and we will have a set meal time.
Sayers Croft provides healthy, tasty meals and the kitchen staff are wonderfully supportive of children’s needs. The children will have a full breakfast, a cooked lunch and a hot evening meal each day.
Special Diets
The catering staff at Hooke Court are used to providing for a wide range of dietary requirements and all special diets are catered for eg: vegetarian, vegan, no dairy, halal etc. We will ask you for full details of your child’s requirements before we go.
