Course description

Students will be learning about the evolution of Thai politics since Sukhothai periods until the revolution 1932 in brief. Moreover, they will examine political situation after the revolution 1932 until present time in order to have a full understanding of political characteristics since Sukhothai until present.

Students will study progression of Thai constitutions and political structure in accordance with the recent constitution of Thailand in which has the King as a head of state. The topics of study will include Thai government officials, jurisdiction, and process of equity in order to acknowledge and understand overall subject comprehensively. After studying the subject, students shall be able to realize their duties and participate in supporting constitutional monarchy with the king as a head of state.

Students will also study the importance of the royal institution and realize how important it is to our political system through the process of analyzing, research, self-learning, and group discussion to solve problems.

Students will be encouraged to think critically, be able to apply theory and ideas in their daily life. Additionally, students shall be able to hold on to ethics and maintain the desired characteristics to love the nation, religion, and the king. Be transparent, discipline, have public mind and live their lives happily within Thai society.
