Held under the sanction of USA Swimming and Inland Empire Swimming, Inc.

In granting this sanction, it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming and Inland Empire Swimming shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims of damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. Use of audio or visual recording devices including cell phone cameras is not allowed in the changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms

Host Club:Spokane Area Swimming (SAS).

Location:Witter Pool, MissionPark, 1400 East Mission, Spokane, WA.

Facilities: The aquatic center has a competition pool (50 meters x 25 yards-8lanes). Waterdepth and starting block height meet the 2011 USA Swimming regulations. Thecompetition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4). Thecompetition pool water depth varies from 12 feet at the start end to 3.6 feet at the turn end.

Warm-up: 8:30-9:20am. Meet Marshalls will be present during warm-ups.

We will either leave one lane open or use warm up pool during meet.

Meet Start: 9:30am

SAS Picnic:Immediately following swim meet.

Entry Fee: ($5 IES surcharge + $15 per swimmer)

SAS entry fees will be billed to your SAS account.

Rules: Current USA Swimming rules will govern the meet. The rules and procedures of Inland Empire Swimming will also apply. The whistle start protocol will be used throughout the meet. “No recall” starts will be in effect. The meet referee shall be the final authority for the conduct of the competition. Only swimmers, coaches, officials and meet workers are permitted in the deck area and must have proof of current USA Swimming membership. The deck area is considered to be a 3 foot area from the edge of the pool and the area behind the start platforms up to the timer chairs.

Eligibility:Athletes from SAS are eligible. No entrant will be permitted to compete unless the entrant is a member of USA Swimming as provided in Article 302, at the time of meet entry. Athletes with a disability are welcome and are asked to provide advance notice of necessary accommodations. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member coach it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Entries:Swimmers are limited to four events.
