The ePen remote control for hearing instrumentsgave the edge toSiemens Audiologyinwinning the iF product design award for 2010. Thisinternationalaward is given annuallyby a prestigiousjury. It is targeted atvariouscategories of products which the jury finds to be exceptional fortheir quality of design. The award-winning ePen is a remote controlfor Siemens’ hearing systems. Shaped like a fountain pen, it allows the hearing aid wearer to adjust the volume and tone practically unnoticed.
Siemens Audiology designed the ePen specifically to meet the wishes of many hearing aid wearersfor discreteness–so a stylish fountain pen seemed the right answer. A simple tug and a couple of twists are all it takes to set up the hearing system for the desiredresult.TheePen canadjust the volume to individual preferences, as well as switching between integrated hearing programs.
The ePen works with currenthearing instruments from the Siemens product linese. g. Pure, Life, and Motion. Depending on the degree of hearing impairment, the design preference, and personal needs, this range of devices offers the ideal answer for practically every type of hearing impairment.
