RULES & REGULATIONS:
Entry Fee: Entry forms along with entry fee of Rs. 1,000/- payable by demand draft in favour of “CHESS ASSOCIATION OF INDIA” Payable at Lucknow can be sent to: Prof. A. Sreedharan, General Convener, Aringalayan, Pappinissery, Kunnur-670561, Kerala. Entry Fee can be also paid directly in Core Banking A/c No. 353302010819861 of Chess Association of India with Union Bank of India, Clarks Avadh Branch, Lucknow.Veteran players (Over 60 years age), Players from North Eastern States and physically challenged will be entitled for 50% discount in entry fee. However, there will be no discount in CAI Registration Fee.
CAI Registration Fee: CAI Players Registration Fee of Rs. 100/- for 2010 is essential criteria for entry in the event.
Last Date of Entry: 20th August 2010. Entry will be accepted on ‘first come first serve basis’ depending upon the sitting capacity. Organizer reserves the right to reject any entry.
Accommodation: Free dormitory accommodation will be provided to outstation participants on first come first serve basis. Accompanying persons will have to bear their own expenses.
Tournament Rules: Tournament will be conducted as in 10 round Swiss System as per international chess rules known as FIDE Laws of Chess.
Tie Break: In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall apply. However, the main cash prizes will be shared.
Note:A reception counter will be functioning at Kannur Railway Station on 23rd 24th Aug. up-to 12.00 noon. The distance of venue is less than 3 KM from Kannur railway station and bus stand.
