  1. Auction
  2. Need volunteers for set up or break down
  1. Community Update
  2. Upcoming events: Only a few of the dineouts have paid PTA. Brothers BBQ has paid. Kate Kushner was going to check with Blackbird.
  1. Missoula raised their rates a bit. $500 deposit will be sent soon. We need someone to piggyback with Amy D next year to then take it over once Amy leaves. Cheryl Spriggs said she may be able to do. Nov 13-18, Gullivers Travels will be the production. Need to change the date if possible to Nov 6-11 because it’s the week before Thanksgiving break.
  1. This week Sol and ALine boutique are doing shopping events Wed, Thurs, Fri and will give 10% back to Bromwell. ALine did flyers and Sol will do a pop up shop in ALine. Amy D is coordinating the setup of Auction Items. Sarah Duffy is creating class creations. Live Auction items will be on posterboards near the bar for people to see.. Perhaps some items can be moved from the silent auction side to the live auction that night. Need a few people to act as AES floaters. Auction committee should fill the volunteer spots for cleanup. Steve W. will be on cleanup committee.
  1. Principal’s Report
  2. Tech bond update: planning to order tech bond items: 2 chromebook carts, and 4 dell laptops, 2 or 3 laptops. None have been phased out. Three years new items will be requited. Get quotes and order soon to be here by August.
  1. Music teacher has been hired. Amy G worked with three schools and music experts. She is half time at Knapp. Britta Conway. We still need a team specialist for math. Ashley Walker is going to another school so we need a new ECE paraprofessional.
  1. Presidents Report
  2. Need to fill two PTA positions by May. There are usually very few people interested in PTA positions. A letter will go out after the auction notifying people of vacancies. Then people can nominate candidates. But only PTA members are allowed to vote on board positions. This year there are 70 members. A meeting will be held to vote on board positions. PTA elections to be held on May 16 possibly. Two of the past three years there was no president by August.
  1. Sarah will coordinate a “Thank You Volunteers” event on Tuesday, May 30 in Manley Park at 8:30.
  1. CSC Update: two open CSC spots opening, typically two year terms but you can sign on for 1 year. Staff part will be filled in August (need 2).

Meeting adjourned at 9:45.
