Cheer Leaders needed for Practice Performance group inclusive of ALL abilities. Saturdays, 11 – Noon, GirshPark beginning March 2014.

Challenger Baseball Spring Season: T-ball & Coach-Pitch teams for boys & girls ages 5- 22 with physical, developmental or intellectual challenges, wheelchair players included. Saturday mornings, Feb – May 18th at GirshPark in Goleta. Schedules at

After School Playground Sports: TeachKickball,basketball, & skills to help our children be included!

Basketball Co-Ed Spring Skills Clinic @ Page Youth Center in SB, Tuesdays, 3:45 – 5 pm. Spring Season runs April 1st – May 6th; Coach, Buddy Assist positions open

Swim Team Training: Tuesdays or Thursdays 3:45 -5 pm @ Local Private pool – Assist the Coach to motivate& encourage individual swimmers with special needs to increase endurance and abilities.

Dance Volunteers: Saturdays from10-11 am, Hip Hop and Break Dance at GoletaValleyCommunity Center – Old Towne, Goleta; Buddy support children and teens of ALL abilities.

Yoga Fitness: Inclusive of ALL abilities, siblings, friends, parents – everyone welcomed! Tuesdays in November; 4 to 4:45 pm, @ GoletaValleyCommunity Center – room 2.

Tutors needed for “learners with differences” in a variety of subjects.

Curriculum Adaptation: Meet weekly to adapt curriculum and develop resources for students with special needs included in general education classrooms.

Peer Buddy “Social Skills” program pairs volunteer one on one with a similar aged child with special needs for one hour fun activities. Training/Supervision provided:

321 Playhouse for children birth – 4 with Down syndrome, siblings of similar age & parents – contact Jamie for monthly meetings Saturdays, 9:30 – 11am; ; 805/566-4753.

Saturday “My Club” Child Caregivers: Two hours of childcare play and supervision for November and December events beginning: Nov. 16– Dec 14; Plan for and supervise children 4 – 12 in open play, crafts and activities; 10 – Noon.

Next Chapter Club: Facilitate weekly book club for teens and young adults with intellectual disabilities to motivate them to improve reading and comprehension skills & socialize; Feb-May

Valentine Dinner Dance for children & teens with special needs, their families and friends, Saturday, Feb 1st, 2014 organize, plan, set up, clean up, staff activity stations, solicit sponsors, donations, etc.

“My Best Me”: Create a class on Manners, Grooming, Hygiene, Make-up, Fashion & Social skills.

Modeling Instruction and Inclusion Advocacy: Teach basic skills to people with disabilities to be included in local business and community advertising, fashion shows, service organizations, etc.
